Congleton Lib Dems held on to many of their key seats in Congleton Borough and increased their vote in many other seats. It was a disappointing night for Congleton North West and Simon Davey lost his seat to the Conservatives as did Ray Lowe in Astbury, by a nail biting 1 vote! Ray is a very well respected community activist and a County Councillor. He has worked hard for the people of the Borough and will continue to do so for his County constituents.

Simon Davey, former councillor for Congleton North West Ward says thanks to all those who voted for him and offered their support during the elections yesterday. Unfortunately, despite his hard work in the Ward he did not get re-elected, but he has promised to continue fighting for the people of Congleton and hopes to seek re-election soon.
