A Brookland Mushroom Farm threatened with closure now faces a brighter future thanks to help from local Lib Dem campaigners Peter Carroll and Sylvia Oiller. The farm, Wilsons Nursery on the aptly named Narrowbush Lane, was unable to get deliveries or collections by lorry in recent weeks. The lanes leading from the main road to the farm had been made so narrow by over hanging trees that lorries could not get through without damaging themselves. Peter and Sylvia approached Shepway District Council who have now responded with a plan to severely cut back the trees.
Norman Baker MP, Liberal Democrat Shadow Environment Secretary, is today publishing a report calling for changes to the laws governing the sale and use of 4x4 vehicles.
