Folkestone lines up family-fun festival

Following the success of last year's Folkestone Multi-Cultural Festival which attracted thousands of visitors and residents to join in celebrations of the town's many different cultures, a bigger event is planned for 2008 - and the organisers are inviting participation from ethnic and other groups and also from schools which would like to their pupils to be involved.

Massive response to Zahid's Crime Survey

There has been a massive response to Liberal Democrat Zahid Shah's Crime Survey in St. Peter's Ward. Zahid Shah said "I would like to thank everyone that responded. Well over a third of the residents who have responded to our survey so far say they have either been the victim of or witnessed a crime in the last year, although not everyone reported incidents to the police.

Protecting moors must be a priority says MP

Rochdale MP Paul Rowen is launching a campaign to 'protect our moors'. Mr Rowen was speaking after taking part in a six mile hike aimed at continuing the campaign against reopening Ding Quarry. The protestors saw a great number of off road and quad bikes on their walk, as well as spotting massive damage to our moors and burnt out vehicles.
