Liberal Democrat Shadow Foreign Secretary, Michael Moore MP, has written to Margaret Beckett demanding she publish a transcript of the Prime Minister's evidence to the Iraq Study Group. In response to a parliamentary question tabled by Michael Moore, Margaret Beckett refused to publish the transcript, instead referring enquiries to the press statement issued by the Prime Minister's Official Spokesman.
Residents in Nascot and North Watford have reacted with horror and disgust this week when told that the County Council has, for a second time, put on hold major road safety works for Nascot Wood Road and Goodwood Parade. These schemes together with several others are not now going ahead because the County Council budget on adult care is being overspent. Some £3million of highways projects are affected. The Nascot Wood scheme was due to cost around £450,000.
The cost of a Southeastern "saver return" train fare from Folkestone Central, Folkestone West and Sandling to London will rise from £29.80 to over £31 in 2007, according to figures released today. A "cheap day" return will rise to over £16 for the same journey.
