Leading Liberal Democrat Campaigner and one of Rochdale's European Members of Parliament of the for Fair Trade in Europe Sajjad Karim MEP visited ASDA in Rochdale on Saturday to congratulate them on their contribution to helping Rochdale in their fight for Fair Trade. The battle for places on the new 80-seat County Council goes into top gear as nominations close later this week. This is expected to be the last set of councillors to hold their meetings at the historic County Hall in Kingston upon Thames, which is nowadays outside the administrative county of Surrey. The new building in Woking is intended to come into use before the end of 2007.
