Valebrook Close overgrown path reported
Cheriton Councillor Tim Prater has written to the East Kent Public Rights of Way Office to request that they take action to clear an overgrown footpath. The path which runs from Valebrook Close in Cheriton, Folkestone is now entirely blocked due to being overgrown with plants and weeds.

Rochdale Lib Dems lead call for binding referendum!
The Liberal Democrat groups in Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester and Salford have all agreed to support a binding Greater Manchester wide referendum to be held on the TIF bid and congestion charge. The last opinion poll showed that 86% of Greater Manchester residents supported a referendum.

Outstanding local school receives outstanding report
Townhill Infants School gives the children very best start to their education according to the latest Ofsted report. The school was given the highest possible grade of "outstanding" across the board following its inspection. The inspection was also backed by the test results with pupils gaining higher than above average standards in reading, writing and maths by the end of year two.

Public Meeting on Royal Military Avenue Speeding
In response to concerns raised by residents of Royal Military Avenue about dangerous driving and dangerous speeding in their road, the Cheriton Liberal Democrat team have convened a meeting for interested residents on Wednesday 30th July 2008 from 7.00pm at the Gurkha Community Centre, MacKenzie Drive, Cheriton.
